To make this easier, I've attached a free downloadable basic maths glossary for parents. This resource can be used to help you polish your basic maths knowledge and gives easy-to-follow explanations and a little quiz!

This glossary covers key maths terms used in early education and primary school, and is a great way to understand words your child may be using in maths lessons, but it's okay if you want to use it to help freshen up your adult brain. Lots of us weren't ready to learn when these things were taught to us years ago.

Over time, glossaries for different subjects and key stages will be added, creating a growing library of helpful resources for parents.
